During the exhibition "Handmade with Love - Halland to Tokyo 2014" I will take part with a small installation that I named "In my garden", containing 4 small wire work bridal crowns combined with 4 short pocketfilms based on the curators* theme "The seasons". The films are all published at my Youtube channel and they can be viewed by mobile phones through QR codes mounted behind the crowns, in the exhibition. Or below, here at website.
The films includes images and phenomenons from every season in Halland and Morup. All the films also include music by Maria Löfberg, a.k.a. Septema Music, a local composer living in Glommen, the village nearby. The music is called "Elements" and I borrowed from her titles when nameing the crowns and the films.
My hope is to create a kind of gateway between the exhibitionvisitors and Morup by using the opportunity to comment at Youtube. The films capture seasonal phenomenon and the metaphorical title is "In my Garden". I hope for some conversations through the commentary at Youtube. I also hope that people, viewing the installation will take pictures/films and #kronmakaren in all social media channels. In that way this installation will certainly become a "gateway".
The bridal crowns are all of the same shape and size and only differs in the colours of the seasons, like the circles of the seasons and the years passing in the human life. They are all placed on stylized leafs of Waterlily. The leafs are kind of "floating" and reflecting back the colours of the seasons.
In my Garden; The nature of Autumn - The motion of Winter - The spirit of Spring - The colour of Summer. 4 wire work bride crowns containing gemstone and silverplated copper wire.
Elements for cello; The spirit of air, The colour of earth, The nature of fire, The motion of water. Music by Maria Löfberg, tonsättare, www.septema.com
A well working QR code reader is I-nigma. You can download it to both Iphones and Androids through your appstores. Open the app, point the camera toward the QR code and voila, you are on the go! (you may have to ok in the app.)
